One of the things no one really talks about irt injury rehabilitation is how the hell you keep track of all the exercises you have to do, and the persistent worry that you’ll forget to do one or do one slightly wrong and somehow fuck up your own recovery because you didn’t bounce your heel enough times
#i’ve ended up having to download a to do list app so i can create lists for the exercises i have to do in the morning; afternoon; evening#and night & just tick them off when i do them#there was an exercise diary in my pdf as well but it’s just boxes with the date and i have to presumably tick if i did them#but there’s no way to record how Many times i did something#and flipping back between pages to double check if i did something the correct number of times is just annoying to me#i have 6 exercises total and 2 need to be done twice a day; 1 needs to be done 3 times; 2 need to be done 4 times#and one needs to be done ‘as many times as possible’ but that one i can’t do yet because it has to be done standing on one leg#which she should know i can’t do??#i try it daily at lunchtime and every time i fail and just put an X in the box to say ‘i tried and this was not happening’#so yeah. the app is really the only way to keep track of this stuff#i probably need to learn the technical names of the exercises instead of just calling them ‘bouncy leg’ and ‘pilates ball’#but i am doing my best okay. or someone’s best at least#what i fear is that i go back to my physio next week with this diary nicely filled in and she’s like ‘oh you did great with these!#way better than expected! here’s 6 more exercises all with different recommended sets & times to do them’#the way i’d die#i mean it depends what it is tbh. there’s a couple i really like (all the ones that involve equipment tbh)#but if it’s anything like ‘bouncy leg’ or ‘knee extension on chair’ i will HAAATE it#maybe i’ll stay one step ahead of her and take up pilates.#sidenote but i really want to buy one of those big pilates balls. if i lived alone i definitely would#but i don’t think it would be well received in this household#personal

🎀 Current At Home Workout Equipment I Own
Thick Yoga Mat - since I do mainly yoga and pilates my thick yoga may (amazon brand) has served me well. Even tho I am a heavier woman at the moment, I've never had pain or any issues with this mat, and it came with a carry strap which I love! A good, thick workout mat is definitely necessary for working out at home for comfort, safety, etc. Make sure to disinfect it on occasion, especially if you sweat on it a lot!
Resistance Bands - I have about 3 or 4 at different resistance strengths, and they're incredibly useful for a variety of movements, especially lower body ones. They add some extra resistance and make the workouts a bit more challenging when you need something more advanced. I also got mine from Amazon/Walmart a while back. I prefer fabric over rubber because I like to wear workout shorts instead of workout leggings.
Pilates Ball - not a necessity, but useful with some pilates workouts and movements. I have seen sole videos using this, but am not advanced enough to try it on my own yet. Will use for sure once I'm more advanced.
3lb dumbbells - I thought these would be useful for the pilates workouts that had some upper body focus, and as someone who wants to develop a lean and toned upper body, they are perfect for low weight high rep, controlled movements. Again, not advanced enough to use as I want to master my form, but they're gonna come in handy for sure!
Foam Roller - so so good for stretching and muscle recovery on rest days. I love mine but want one that has the bump things on it to help my muscles more. I can imagine how good it'll feel on my legs during a recovery day when I begin wieght lifting again.
Massage Gun - my holy grail for the days I am sore and needing some recovery. my body feels like jelly after using this, and it's just so nice for the days my muscles feel extra tight and super sore.
🎀 Equipment I Want To Buy
Yoga Blocks - these will help me get deeper into the yoga poses once I get more advanced in my practice
Pilates Ring - this honestly looks so fun and challenging to use, I'd love to add it to my collection of useful workout equipment!
Jump Rope - I used to love this as a form of cardio and as long as I don't move into an upstairs apartment, I'm definitely buying one
Pilates Bar - still iffy on this one, it's supposed to mimic a reformer but I want to get better at mat pilates and see if I even end up ever needing or seriously wanting to buy it, its on my list tho
Ankle/Wrist weights - these are gonna be so useful for workouts where hand held dumbbells aren't useful. Want to buy some low weight ones just to help with resistance and extra strength during pilates workouts
Kettlebell weight - I think this would be useful for a workout at home type situation if and when I switch to not doing just pilates and yoga. I know these are useful in their own right, but not needed in my current fitness stage of life.
Core Sliders - these look fun and interesting. They're on my lost for sure, but not sure about the practicality of their use in my life just yet.
That's all that's currently on my at home workout equipment list! As someone who primarily works out at home, the things I currently own are most useful and most of what's on this list is for fun or extra challenge. Just not necessary yet.
hope you enjoyed this list! if you have any questions about my favorite youtuber workout instructors or favorite videos, please feel free to ask, I've tried so many and can give some guidance from my own experience and research.
til next time lovelies 🩷

This is part 2 of the arranged marriage AU with Nanami where the two of you struggle with intimacy.
Part 3
You both learn to cuddle in this one. This is a bit long so grab some snacks and a warm blanket.
Masterlist
-•-
After that fateful night of receiving flowers from your husband (personally and not through his family for a proposal), you had start warming up to him. You found out that he enjoyed mundane things like reading, walking at the beach, and most of all, bread. He learned about a lot of your likes and dislikes too.
Gradually, you found that it was easier to make conversation with him while having dinner so the two of you started having all your meals together. You’d talk about your work and what unruly things your coworkers did to cross you and he’d add in his two cents about them being incompetent. The relationship started to feel more friendly. He was glad his wife was talking to him about something other than the weather!
He also had a new desk moved into his study so you could work alongside him rather than stay holed up in your room. Your desk was adjacent to his (so he could look up to stare at you whenever he wanted).
He started noticing all the little things about you, like the way you liked doing your hair, your favorite spot on the couch, what kind of music you’d hum while doing chores. He was slowly chipping away at the ice and was enjoying every minute of it.
To be loved is to be known. He didn’t know how to show you that he was becoming more and more interested in you without displaying physical touch or being afraid of saying something that you may not be comfortable with. So he’d buy you gifts and try to spend time with you as much as possible. His gifts would be simple yet meaningful, like a record player for your room so you could listen to all your favorite tunes and pilates equipment for your home gym because you had been talking about how you wanted to work out but without leaving the house.
Your heart wasn’t letting you rest either. You started making him lunch for work and would write random notes along with it. It could be a fun fact or a simple motivational message. He would always thank you for them (and save them in a little box he has in his office). Sometimes he’d ask you more about the fact and how you learned about it.
Everything felt stable. It was like living with a best friend.
Until one day, you both were sitting next to each other while watching a horror movie. Separate blankets of course, but you were close enough for your knees to touch while sitting criss cross. A particularly scary scene came up and you jumped, holding on to the sleeve of Nanami’s sweater. He was alarmed, not because you screamed in fear but because you held on to him for comfort! “Can I hold your bicep? I’m sorry, this is just a little too scary.”
He could simply nod. No words or thoughts could form when he felt the warmth of your body against his arm. Your breath would occasionally land on his chest from how you were unintentionally leaning on him and it was driving him insane. Normally things like this would give him sensory overload but with you? Gosh, was it a good feeling. He always thought that that men who bragged about being protective were strange and were trying to prove themselves for no reason but they weren’t wrong. Knowing that you felt safe with him made him feel like a true man. Like he could run into the sunset and scream his lungs out.
After the movie was over you were still shaken up. “Is everything alright?” He looked down at you. You still had his arm in your grip. “Um, no, I’m still a little freaked out from the movie which is weird cause I’m a grown adult. Why am I scared of such movies anyway?” You smack your hand on your forehead. “It’s alright. It was a little too scary than what I’m used to as well.” He then paused, as if, he wanted to say something but he couldn’t. You looked up at him expectantly. “Since you’re scared, would you… like to sleep in my room? And I’m saying this in the most respectful way possible.” He sheepishly smiled as he asked.
Sleep? In the same bed as Nanami? Scratch that, sleep in the same bed as your HUSBAND? Of course, especially when he has been so sweet with flowers, gifts, and even comforting you through a strange movie. “Yes, I’d like that very much.” You whispered. You were afraid that if you spoke any louder you’d be breaking your bubble of comfort with him. “Then, I’ll make the necessary preparations.” He immediately gets up to go straighten up his room (and switch on his diffuser).
By necessary preparations, you didn’t know that he meant getting you a separate blanket and having a divider of pillows between the two of you. This was the opposite of what you wanted. You were still scared and needed some sort of physical touch to be reassured that you weren’t going to be harmed.
“Nanami, are you awake?” You whispered into the dimly lit room. The moonlight through the window acted as a natural night lamp. “I’m up. Do you need anything?” He responded swiftly. “No, everything is great except for one thing.” You turn towards him and remove the pillow between your heads so can make eye contact. “When you suggested sleeping in the same bed I thought we’d be holding hands because I’m scared.”
“Oh.” Was all Nanami could muster up. You were tense. Did you ask for too much? Maybe you should’ve asked his permission before requesting for it. Consent is key. But all your thoughts are silenced when Nanami simply grabs your hand and pulls you close. “Th-Thanks.” Your heart was racing a mile a minute. Nothing really happened after that though. Pure silence engulfed the room again, except for the occasional rustling of the sheets while you moved around.
“Y/N?” Your husband broke the silence. You hummed in response. “Do you know how to cuddle?” What an odd request, not unwelcome but definitely strange as Nanami never really initiated any sort of physical touch with you. It was mostly you either accidentally touching him or squeezing his bicep before work. You were too scared to admit that you had never been in a relationship before. What would he think? He’s a handsome man, so there’s no way he had never been in a relationship before. Maybe he never cuddled with his exes. He did tell you that he used to be very particular about his personal space.
“Yeah, I do.” You said, your knowledge from reading romance novels was finally being used. “Can you teach me? You don’t have to if you’re uncomfortable.” But you turned to your side so you could properly face him. You let go of his hand, missing the warmth provided by them. “I’ll teach you an easy one first. It’s called spooning. Since you’re a beginner, I’ll let you be the little spoon and I’ll be the bigger spoon.” Nanami snorted at your description. But obliged. “Alright, what does the little spoon do?”
You then instructed him to turn, making his back face you and then you wrapped your arms around him and leaned your forehead against his back. “So this is what spooning is. I think I’d much rather prefer being the big spoon. I want to be able to protect you from that ghost in the movie.” You giggle at his words and oblige. When his arms wrap around you, it feels as if everything has fallen into place. The world is in order and you both don’t need anyone else but each other.
Nanami is in ultimate peace with you in his arms. The warmth given to him by your body being pressed against him is a feeling like no other. It felt right. Like you two were meant to be all along. His heart raced at the thought of other cuddling positions. However, a sense of jealousy rose in him as he thought about who you might’ve experienced this with first. Alas, he can still make new memories with you so he comforts himself to sleep.

word count: 1.1k
When a brand new gym was built near your apartment complex, you knew you had no excuse but to start going on a regular basis. Despite how scared you were of the gym bros and pilates princesses, you pushed yourself to start. First, you attended the group workout classes to get yourself comfortable. Slowly, you started using all of the other gym equipment.
Once you started going to the gym after work, you got even more comfortable with working out in the presence of others. Sometimes you were even brave enough to start conversations with other girls who were working out by themselves. You still considered it a time for you to decompress, and often, you listened to music or podcasts for the entire time.
As you got into a routine, you started to notice the gym attendees who were always there when you were. You started to differentiate the people you saw on the weekend versus those you saw during the weekends. There was one attendee in particular you began to notice more and more. Whenever you were at the gym, he seemed to be there too. He was always there before you, and he was often still working out when you were leaving.
At first, it wasn’t an irrational thought to believe he spent a lot of time there. His upper body was no laughing matter, in fact, he almost looked dangerous when he was lifting in front of the mirror. Short dark blonde hair and empty blue eyes often greeted you whenever you were trying to mind your own business. At first, you thought it was a coincidence because why would someone like that take an interest in you?
Besides that, he’d never spoken to you. Unsuccessfully, you tried to tune him out. There were always eyes lingering on you while you walked on the treadmill or when you were grabbing weights from the rack. As you grew more comfortable with your body, you started buying cute workout sets, ones that hugged your curves. The staring only increased, making you feel conflicted about your choice.
He was not at all your type. You’d never been with a muscular type of guy, and you’d feel quite intimidated by someone like that. Deliberately, you started wearing jackets and sweatshirts again.
There was a grocery store also near your apartment, and you’d often stop by after your workout. One night, you noticed him standing near the bakery section, gray hoodie over his head, as you were looking through the smoothies in the fresh produce section.
You debated going up to him and just saying hello to put yourself at ease, but when you turned around again, he was gone. You carried your few bags of groceries back to your apartment, listening to one of your favorite podcasts and fantasizing about the relaxing bath you were going to take.
Like always, you used your key fob to enter your apartment. With your arms being occupied, you kicked the door to close it, before heading into the kitchen. When all your groceries were placed on the counter, you took off your headphones, immediately hearing your door click shut. You turned around to see a dark figure standing at the entrance of your door.
You took in a sharp breath and immediately stepped back. As you recognized that hoodie, the horror began to truly set in. When he pulled off the hoodie and revealed those dark eyes, you couldn’t stop the scream that your body released.
As he lunged towards you, your eyes darted to the knife block sitting on the counter. You charged towards the knives as he grabbed ahold of your waist, lifting you away from the counter. Before you could scream again, he pressed his hand into your mouth, muffling the sound.
Desperately, you kicked and bit down on his hand. He groaned as he through you down on your living room couch, “Shit,” He cursed, but he was already pinning you down onto the couch, “Scream, and I-I swear I will kill you.”
He wrapped a strong hand around your throat and pinned your lower body down with the weight of his body, “I’m serious. Before anyone came for you or before anyone could call the police. Do you want to die?” You quieted your strangled cries, staring up at him with teary eyes, “Good. I don’t want to do that. You’re so pretty …I would hate to have to …”
His voice was deep and raspy, only adding to your fear, “Y/N … beautiful angel Y/N … my name is Rafe,” All you could ask yourself was why he would give you his name. Why would he show you his face if he was going to leave you alive. Laying helpless beneath him, you felt your odds dwindling away, “This gorgeous body is all mine, right? You don’t mind if I … see more of it, do you?”
He kept his grip on your neck as he pulled up your sports bra, freeing your breasts. With his free hand, he grabbed and kneaded at the sensitive area. He felt and pinched until your nipples were standing at attention, “I knew you’d have such pretty titties …” You watched his lips pull into a smile, “But you know what? I bet your pussy is even prettier.”
You were caught off guard when Rafe released your neck. As you gasped and struggled for air, he lifted himself off of you, grabbing your waist and pulling your lower half off of the couch. You were bent over the furniture as Rafe again gained control of you, his hand gripping the back of your neck as he pushed you into the furniture.
He was kneeling beside you, his fingers beginning to trace the folds of your pussy through your leggings. You squirmed in his grasp, feeling every detail of his finger through the thin material, “Shit, I need you, baby,” He groaned, “I need you so bad.”
Abruptly, he ripped open your leggings, causing you to beg, “Please, please, don’t.”
“I’m so hard for you; I need you,” You felt even more humiliated when you heard him spit into his hand and as he pressed it into your exposed area. You felt him moving behind you before he held your hips tightly in place, and you felt his tip against your entrance, “You need me too, don’t you? All these weeks I’ve been watching you, you’ve never had anyone over. You need that pretty pussy filled, huh?”
Rafe’s words were hasty, panicked almost, like he truly couldn’t control himself, “Please, Rafe, w-we can take it slow,” You tried, but he began to hush you.
“I’m sorry,” You heard him say as he pushed into you; your body did its best to stretch around him, “I’m so sorry, I …I have to have you, baby.”

How do I truly become a pink Pilates princess on a budget?
Pink Pilates Princess 101
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
When I think of a pink pilates princess, I think of a girly person that romanticized their life in terms of wellness! a lot of people find the phrase annoying but i think it’s fun and cute! Here’s some things you can do to feel more like a pink pilates princess 💞
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pic credit: all 3 pics from me posted on my pinterest @ nallyssajones
1. Doing pilates!
Tumblr media
There’s mat pilates (only need a mat) and reformer pilates (using a reformer machine). Going to classes multiple times a week can be a tad expensive, so an alternative would be:
A) Signing up for paid subscriptions that have detailed classes for e.g; Alo moves, Pilates anytime, glo etc.
B) Following videos from youtubers that do mat pilates. My fave channels are; Move with Nicole, Sanne Vloet, Dansique fitness (she mostly does hitt pilates videos)
* Yoga is another amazing way to get movement in and feel connected to your body and spirit.
* Go on a hot girl walk! Going on mini walks around your neighborhood or even your house allows you to get some steps in daily.
2. Eating well!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pic credit: my pics posted on my pinterest @nallyssajones
This is different for everyone but here are some ideas that you can add to your diet;
- Drinking green juice
- Try out yogurt bowls! It's my favourite breakfast food because it's easy to make and can be very nutritious depending on what I put into it. I like to add greek yogurt, a nice granola, matcha powder, frozen and fresh berries, pomegranate, ground flax and almonds🫐🍓
- Increasing protein intake. A lot of people have tried to eat 1 g per each lb that they weigh daily and have felt really good. My fellow anemic girlies, please increase your protein intake if you can!
- Taking your vitamins/supplements! get a blood test done to see what you’re deficient in and research supplements that might be helpful for you personally.
3. Finding cute workout+lounge sets
Tumblr media
(pic credit: from @ lyssithadoll on ig and twitter)
Working out and going out in cute loungewear and workout sets can make you feel really nice and girly! I like to thrift nice quality brands like lululemon or even purchase specific pieces from depop and poshmark! Amazon is a good place to find sets as well but I would recommend buying high quality secondhand pieces💞 Some good brands to look out for are lululemon, alo yoga, halara and girlfriend collective.
4. Get cute exercise equipment
Tumblr media
pic credit: my picture posted on my pinterest and ig @ nallyssajones
Get pink workout equipment if you’d like! Marshalls, dollarama, and amazon sell workout equipment that you can get for $5-$20! I got the pink fila mat in the pic above from marshalls for $19.99:) Here are some equipment ideas:
- yoga mat
- yoga strap
- wrist/ankle weights
- 5 lbs dumbbells
- gym bag
*these things aren’t needed btw! just ideas if you’d like to have more equipment.
5. Practice self care
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can do whatever self care that you'd like but here are some examples that you can incorporate into your life:
- Take a relaxing bath (the book "ritual baths" has amazing bath ideas
- Engage in your favourite hobbies (sports, reading, watching a tv show etc.)
- Spend time with your loved ones
- Take care of your skin and have a routine down. You do not need 15 products but even adding a serum or a spot treatment to your routine can improve your skin!
***************************************************************************************************
I hope that you liked this post! This is all for fun and anyone can be a pink pilates princess 🧚🏾💞

Online aesthetics and the effects of social media trends
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's talk about this.
How it can affect young teenagers
Open Tiktok or Instagram and everything on my For You Page now shows "How to achieve a Clean Girl Aesthetic"', "Old Money Aesthetic Hairstyles", "Cottagecore Hobbies", "How to be a Femme Fatale"
It never ends. Trends keep popping up left and right and it's inescapable.
As a young, impressionable teenager, I was, of course, naturally going to be influenced by these ever-changing trends. I'd constantly change my room aesthetic, buy new clothes, and I was never satisfied with my appearance. Why? Because I didn't look like the girls on screen.
News flash. You're never going to look like them. All that content they produce which gets 100k likes is done with excessive attention to detail, expensive lighting and sound equipment, and top-notch editing software. OF COURSE, you can't look like that. It's completely manufactured. It's heartbreaking to see young girls develop body image issues because of the constant bombarding of these "aesthetics" which are basically different beauty standards and stereotypes all wrapped up in a neat little package that is labelled "personality and style". I don't have anything against the concepts of aesthetics. I love how Dark and Light Academia is centred around learning, and how Cottagecore is all about relaxation and not conforming to being part of a 9-5 and just living life. I like how the Clean Girl is focused on being healthy and productive. What I don't like is how all these healthy things, which normal functioning humans should be doing are now turned into "trends" and you must "choose" between them.
Why it's so harmful
Fashion: Since aesthetics keep changing, you're going to find multiple that appeal to you. What happens when you discover you really like cottagecore, but your closet is filled with dark academia tweed? You turn to fast fashion. It's cheap and stylish. But it's horrible for the environment and that floral dress you're wearing was made by a woman in a sweatshop in Bangladesh, while fashion giants like Shein pocket the money.
Makeup: It's always there. Always. You cannot find a "how-to" post regarding aesthetics and makeup is not included. Its always how much blush to apply, why mascara is your best friend, blah blah blah. You know what I want to see? An aesthetic which promotes a clean, fresh face. I do wear makeup, not saying I'm perfect(yes, I wear lip tint and sometimes eyeliner), but it's the ridiculous notion that there's a specific makeup look for each aesthetic, and they say it's not very heavy, but really is concealer, foundation, blush, mascara and lipgloss light makeup?
Other: Then comes the things you should own, the bags, the shoes, the jewellery, the house decor. Did you notice to achieve the look, we're spending money bit by bit? Then you don't even realise it's made a dent in your savings.
Mentality: I hate this part about aesthetics so much. A while ago, I was really interested in Dark Academia and how it was centred around learning and studying. But everything was gloomy and dark and said I should be tired and bitter to achieve this. I'm not a serious person by nature in the first place, but here were blogs telling me to be "mysterious" and how I should be getting only 4 hours of sleep to be true Dark Academia? What is this dystopia? There's this weird obsession with how someone should behave if they like an aesthetic.
Online trends are all consumerism based. It's all to get you to blow your money on things that don't even benefit you.
There's a reason I never include and never will include tags like #clean girl or #pink pilates princess in my posts because it sort of reduces you to a certain aspect. Why confine yourself to these barriers? Wear what you want. Read what you like. The one "aesthetic" I believe in, is "that girl" which in reality is different for everyone, but boils down to being educated, well-mannered, and considerate. I will make a post on this. Being educated and kind is such a flex, not wearing one flowy white dress and "thinking" you're in a meadow. Break out of the pattern of being influenced by algorithms. Don't restrict your identity because of FOMO and the urge to be trendy. You've got this.

Seventeen’s Love Languages
Acts of Service
Scoups: probably the type to do the dishes every time. If you cook, he’ll do the dishes. If you’re cleaning, he’ll do laundry. The type to also run errands for you if you find that stuff boring/tiring. Y’all’s going to divide-and-rule this chores game.
Jeonghan: maybe the kind to pay for things without really making it obvious. Acts of service doesn’t have a standard definition (like everything else) for this man. And then one day you’d wonder “oh yeah I don’t recall the last time I filled gas in the car”. Same goes for things around the house.
Joshua: the kind to do things you didn’t realise were due, like figure out insurance stuff or change your car batteries or maybe even restock supplies. He’ll pick up on things you might have missed so you don’t have to bother later.
Jun: seems like the type to notice little things that need attention/fixing, like tidying up cables, fixing a creaking cupboard door, and will do all the heavy lifting without ever being asked.
Hoshi: he might work better with instruction; you tell him to do something and he’ll do it every day thereafter. Would like nothing more than watering plants as you talk about your day, or fold laundry when you guys are watching tv.
Wonwoo: I think he’s a “do taxes before they’re due” kinda person, and would do stuff that you might find tedious. Might be tidying around the house as a habit so you don’t even really realise it, but it comes naturally to him.
Woozi: puts you on a phone plan so you never pay phone bills. I’d say same goes for gym memberships, grocery discount cards, online shopping accounts, etc. that you might not have ever bothered with because it was already done before you knew it.
Dokyeom: he may do little things but is consistent. He’d remember doctor’s appointments, recycling days, etc. and do his bit to help. The type to brew you coffee every morning.
Mingyu: literally everything you need done on that day. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, taking out the trash, groceries, honestly that’s the day you do nothing at all and everything’s taken care of.
The8: perhaps the type to remind you to go for health check ups and pick up the right vitamins/ supplements for you. He’ll do things you don’t have the time for, including organising, tidying and will do that when he sends you off on a spa appointment.
Seungkwan: Will likely enrol in a Pilates class with you and make sure your time off from work is spent on yourself. If you have a hobby or play a sport, he’ll always remember little things like buying you new equipment or tools. Probably into organising and labelling stuff.
Vernon: always remembers your takeout order, whether it’s coffee or your favourite pizza joint. Will never skip your weekend routines and make sure everything’s in place for movie night or barbecue Sunday, so you can relax until Monday comes again.
Dino: probably drives you around a lot whenever you need to go somewhere. Always remembers your work timings and calls you when you’re late. Will pick you up on late nights and drive you on groggy mornings.

The Best Workout that Changed My Body (Model Workout)
Growing up, I was a chubby kid. As a teenager, I was “skinny-fat” - I had a tummy but lean arms and legs. I have tried everything to burn that belly fat off; right from detox teas, waist clinchers, sports, Pilates, limiting my calorie intake, weight lifting, strength training, eating only health food for months, lemon water, even K-Pop stars’ diets… you name it and I’ve probably done it.
Then I finally found something that worked out for me. I stumbled across it on Reddit, and I shared it with my friends, not thinking that it would actually work.
Except that it did.
A friend who had gained 10 kgs because of her thyroid lost nearly 8 kgs in a matter of a couple of months. Another friend - who’s quite skinny and petite and struggled with weight gain - saw her body get more toned in just a couple of weeks.
So I decided to try it out as well - and I could actually see a difference in just a week’s time (as crazy as this sounds). A few pants I had that I always felt a little insecure about wearing actually felt LOOSE at the waist! I couldn’t believe it!
Now, for a little disclaimer. The person who created these workouts happens to train models. They are specialised in model training- reducing waist cm, hips is their specialty. HOWEVER. They were accused of filming their clients in their gym bathroom. Their spouse eventually took over the company. But that still doesn’t sit right with me. So that means that I will not be buying any of the company’s products, even though the work outs are really effective and require minimum equipment.
So I did a little bit of sleuthing - and found 5 out of 6 of their workouts for free on Reddit.
I’m going to share the link that I found on Reddit. I am NOT responsible for uploading the files. I have no role to play in it. These have been available on Reddit for literally years. I have no idea who the original distributor is, either. Also, these videos are quite old. I’m sure that the new ones are different from these.
The workouts range from 20-60 minutes (most of them are at 40 minutes though). The best part is that you can do these anywhere.
The only equipment you really need:
- yoga mat
- Slide discs/ wash cloths
- Ankle weights
- 3 pound dumbbells
Here it is (the link)
The nutrition guide:
(I have not come up with this. Do not hold me responsible if you do not agree with what the trainer says).
1. Calorie intake: 1600 calories
2. No juice, rice, pasta, potatoes, bread 2-3 hours before you workout. If you must eat, it has to be low calorie protein or lean (eggs, protein shake, lean protein, salad, vegetables).
3. No carbs after 3 pm.
4. Dinner should be protein and vegetable based.
5. No protein for 1-2 hours after workout. Fruit juice, fruits, vegetables and starchy carbs are fine.
6. Only treadmill for cardio. Slow jogs. No weights for lower body, outside of the program. No lunges, squats or deadlifts. Yoga and Pilates are fine. I personally do 12-3-30.
How I use this routine:
Monday: workout 1
Tuesday: 12-3-30
Wednesday: workout 2
Thursday: 12-3-30
Friday: workout 3
Saturday: workout 4 +12-3-30
Sunday: 12-3-30 / yoga/ rest day
I take 5 days off in a month during my period. These workouts are also not crazy intense (I’m used to playing sports and being active in general) so I’m fine doing it everyday.
What is 12-3-30?
Treadmill workout where:
12- incline
3 - speed
30 - minutes

They say it’s really how much you eat, not what you eat. So you eat less. You stop snacking. You count calories. You cut your meals in half. You try fasting.
They say it’s more about diet than exercise. So you cut out pop, quit fast food, eat more fruits and veggies, try this super health food that tastes like dirt. You avoid sweets and processed food as best you can.
They say it’s the alcohol. So even though you don’t drink much, you drink even less.
They say focus on protein. So you buy protein powders, protein bars, protein drinks. You eat eggs and salmon almost daily.
They say increase your water intake. So even though you’re hydrated enough, you drink more. More liquids but avoid the high calories. Try this new zero calorie drink and zero calorie sweetener.
They say oh but you still need to exercise more. So you walk more, bike more. Build up your stamina to go to the gym daily. Buy a fitness watch to closely track your every movement. Run so much you injure your knees.
They say but change up your routine or your body will get used to it. So you spend money on classes for yoga and Pilates, you try different equipment at the gym. You buy hula hoops and weights and restrictive bands to use at home. You look up different exercises to try and do them in the bathroom at work.
They say it’s okay to have some setbacks, just hop back on the wagon! So you do. Every time.
They say it’s your birth control. So you switch to a different kind.
They say it’s your hormone disorder, so you spend money on different supplements and specific diet books. You research your PCOS and endo, start a blog, talk to your physical therapist and doctors, just looking for *something* that will work.
They say talk to your doctor if it’s not working. But the doctor says just keep doing what you’re doing, or spend more money on these useless things.
They say pay attention to your mental health! The scale is just a number! So you try not to weigh yourself as often, or measure instead. You spend money on therapy and worry about getting an eating disorder.
They say plateaus and muscle weight gain are normal. So you keep going even though you don’t think anything is changing. Even when it’s been over a year. And. Nothing. Has. Changed.
They say keep going! But I’m tired.

Hate doing my stupid pilates video but alas. It’s very efficient and cost effective. no weights no equipment just 23 minutes of fully body torture. once this video no longer makes me want to kill myself, i’ll switch to a harder one. this one is for absolute beginners and let me tell you. i am feeling it. i can tell that im improving because some of the ab exercises are a little easier but my whole body hurts
ladies if youre interested i use the fiton app, it was recommended by a coworker of mine who is Normal about fitness and not a pseudo-anorexic freak that runs 70mi a day “for fun”. there are also yoga and other workout videos that are all free, no ads. i also use mynetdiary’s exercise log to track my bike ride times and distances. going on a ride eeeeeaarly tomorrow morning before work, hope i dont regret it lol. aiming to get 10 miles in. it’s gonna be cold but i have layers!!
aiming to get down to 150lbs, improve my cardiac endurance, and be more toned without spending any money… already own a bike, the videos are free, and im buying less food lol so i have high hopes to be in better shape by spring.

How I achieved my dream body
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is perhaps quite a controversial topic, and I’d like to make the point that this post isn’t advice to anyone. This blog is first and foremost my own personal archive, and I’m making this post for myself, so that I can return to my routine if ever necessary. If you find these tips helpful for your own situation, then I’ll be glad for you, but I don’t want to encourage anyone to undertake strict dietary restrictions and exercises which might not work for them, and might not be best for their mental or physical health.
I never underwent extremely drastic changes when it came to my body; I was slim to begin with, but I had more fat than was best for my bone structure and body type, and so working on losing a few pounds and decreasing my proportions made a huge difference to my looks and my self esteem. I went from a US size 4 to a 00, I did it very slowly over 2 years, and now at the other end I’ve found that my clothes hang so much better, my face is so much prettier without a layer of fat hiding my features, and overall my appearance is much cleaner and looks much more cohesive. I don’t have any cellulite anymore, and I love my body—I feel confident in every outfit and in nothing at all.
Fasting and calorie deficits
I’ve always found that fasting helps to clear my head and better my concentration, and when I started at uni, I began fasting regularly for the cognitive benefits. This also had the added effect of weight loss, and I find that fasting is a really easy way for me to maintain a steady loss and quickly rectify overindulgences. I don’t have much of an appetite due to my medication, and I think that’s why fasting is so easy for me; I just don’t feel hungry when fasting, and in fact, it seems to energise me. I tried intermittent fasting, but it didn’t work all that well for me, so now I stick to a routine that has given me the best proven results in terms of weight and mental energy: a 5:2 diet, with a 24 hour fast weekly, and a 72 hour fast once a month.
When I was actively trying to lose weight, I maintained quite a strict calorie deficit, but once I hit my target weight and began working on body recomposition, I stopped with the deficit and began to maintain. I eat without worrying about calories now, but I still track my food intake to maintain discipline, and so that I can retrace my steps if problems ever arise.
Finding a gym I loved
I tried going to the free university gym during my first year, but I think I went a total of about 3 times for the whole year. I hated that gym; it was an hour’s walk away from my accommodation, it was poorly-equipped, and I felt self-conscious surrounded by students. When I started my second year, I made the decision to invest in a membership to a beautiful high-end gym much closer to me, and I go every single day—usually twice a day!—to use the equipment, attend classes, and take a sauna. It’s expensive, but I think I get my money’s worth, and the selection of classes is amazing. I have my classes on rotation, but I mostly stick to mat and reformer pilates, barre, aerobics, tai chi/qigong, and iyengar yoga. I use the treadmill and weights every single day, and I try to swim at least once a week. I go early in the morning, so the gym is quiet, but everyone I meet in class is always so friendly, and the atmosphere is just really welcoming and encouraging. Having a sauna so nearby to me is a big drive, too, and in the early days I used the sauna as a reason for me to go to the gym and work out; I absolutely love saunas so it worked really well as a kind of self-bribery.
Walking everywhere, on the flat
I can’t drive, so I made the decision not to buy a bike and thus forced myself into walking everywhere. I try to hit a minimum of 10,000 steps every day, but most days I clock up something closer to 15,000–20,000 just by running errands, visiting friends, and attending classes. Walking helps me so much with my posture, and sometimes it feels as though the fat is just melting off through this very low-impact but constant exercise. My body puts on muscle quickly, and so walking on the flat without any incline puts the least amount of strain on my muscles and prevents my legs from bulking up; my university town is extremely flat so this isn’t much of a problem, but when I’m in my hilly hometown, I tend to swap out my outdoor walking for the treadmill.
Low weights, high reps
I was afraid of lifting weights for a long time because my body is naturally very prone to putting on muscle, and I wanted to look soft and slender with minimal muscle definition. I used to only do exercises using resistance and my own bodyweight, but my gym offered a womens-only beginners’ weightlifting class and I joined out of curiosity. I’m not going to say that my mindset and routine have been completely changed, but weightlifting has helped to round out my hips, lift my butt and chest, and generally smooth out my figure in a way that cardio and calisthenics cannot, and so light weights with high repetitions have found their way into my routine. I usually use free weights, but I also like the P.Volve system if I’m working out at home or travelling.
Intense and regular massage
Massage is the key to almost everything in my opinion, and it’s played a crucial role in my body’s shaping. I deeply massage and stretch my muscles before and after exercise to encourage them to grow long and lean rather than short and thick, I use a fascia blaster and vibration therapy to rid my body of cellulite, I use a dry brush, gua sha and movement cups on my body almost every single day to encourage circulation and tone, and I see professionals for very regular massage, acupuncture/acupressure, and chiropractic therapies so that my skeleton is well-aligned and my particularly problematic muscles and veins are kept in check. I think that, without massage and other such treatments, I’d be in significant pain and my body wouldn’t look and feel as smooth and supple as it does now; I probably wouldn’t have managed to achieve my fitness goals due to muscle spasms and bulky areas, and I’d be suffering inside and out.
Prioritising protein, fat, and fibre
My diet is strict and it follows a philosophy that I consider to be very organic and very feminine in content. That sounds a little like hogwash, but I really do believe that women should eat differently from men; we should eat much more fat to nourish us, and we should incorporate ingredients that support our hormones and other bodily systems in the proper way. I make almost all of my meals from scratch, and I try to buy seasonal and locally-produced ingredients, since it makes very logical sense to me to eat in accordance with nature’s original intention. Of course, I indulge in exotic fruit and meals at restaurants, but for me these are special treats, not regular occurrences, and I do stay very disciplined in my everyday diet. I eat a lot of seafood, a lot of whole dairy, a lot of organ meats and homemade broths, and I’m always trying new juice recipes and ways to incorporate more vegetables and whole fibres into my diet. I don’t deny myself anything except fast food, and I don’t believe in following diets that cut out whole food groups, but I do try to prioritise what makes me feel energised and has the best effect on my skin and hair.
Lots and lots of sparkling water
I’m a total sparkling water addict, I admit it, and sparkling water is such a godsend in so many different ways. It has filled me up on days when I was starving hungry, it’s tasty and can be found in so many different flavours, and it’s a much healthier option than fizzy pop but much more interesting than plain old still water. I keep bottles and bottles of the stuff in the fridge, and I drink it plain, infuse it with chopped fruit, and mix with cordials for a drink that makes it fun for me to hit my hydration goals and helps me to maintain my diet.
Supplements and medication
I’ll be completely frank, and say that the biggest help when it came to discipline and appetite suppression was my ADHD medication. I’d never in a million years suggest taking medication you don’t need; Vyvanse is a dangerous drug without medical supervision, but in my case it was medically necessary. I could suddenly think clearer, and my cravings for foods entirely disappeared, I no longer found myself eating out of boredom, and my appetite was suppressed to the point that I had to set alarms to remind myself to eat. It’s not something I'd recommend unless you need it, but I’d be lying if I said that I lost weight without the help of medication.
I also took supplements throughout my journey, and I found that taking apple cider vinegar and a high-dose liquid B12 vitamin helped quite a lot with losing and maintaining my weight. I took multivitamins and calcium supplements to help boost my nutrition when I was in a calorie deficit, and when I started weightlifting, then I took small amounts of protein powder and creatine in my smoothies. Supplements helped me a lot with maintaining my overall health during a period of stress for my body, and amplified the results of my efforts, but you definitely can’t lose weight through supplements alone.
Diligently tracking my progress
Discipline was crucial to my success, and there were many days when I wanted to cheat on my diet or exercise routine, but didn’t, because I didn’t want to be held accountable for my laziness when it came to tracking it in my diary. I tracked absolutely everything and still do, from my food and water intake to my vitamin levels and my exercise routine. I had specific and incremental goals for weights, percentages, and measurements, I took regular photos of myself for comparison, and I used waist beads as a physical reminder of my progress. Consistency is the key for amazing results, and the only way I can assure my consistency is to note it down and hold it up against my past track record.
Focusing on my assets and faking the rest
Nobody is perfect, and I don’t believe that anyone can truly achieve their ‘dream body’ without a little faking it. Personally, I focused on bringing my natural assets up to an extreme level—so for me, that was shrinking my waist down as much as possible—and then I turned to fakery for the rest. I had minimally-invasive lipo shots for areas where I naturally held onto fat, I used RF microneedling to tighten my skin and remove stretch marks, and I had ultrasonic cavitation to eliminate cellulite and create an almost unnaturally smooth surface to my body. After losing weight, I found that my breasts weren’t as full as I would have liked, and I still had hip dips, so I now use high-quality silicone pads to fill out my silhouette and create a smoother, curvier shape. Perhaps in the future I’ll look at fat transfers or implants, but for now I’m happy without surgery, and I look incredible with my fake boobs and hips.
